Treasury is involved in inter-related Money Market and Foreign Exchange Market (FX Market) to manage the overall fund position of the bank by addressing credit, market, and operational risks involved in the business. It has the responsibility of maintaining regularity requirement as provided by Bangladesh Bank. Some important regulatory obligations, treasury takes care of the SLR maintenance, revaluation of securities in trading book, maintenance of Foreign Exchange position. Treasury functions and activities thus can be categorized into three types. These are Asset Liability Management, Money Market, & Foreign Exchange.
