Education


As a socially responsible corporate entity, Bank Asia always nurtures the talents of its employees. Along with that, one of the major part of our CSR initiatives is the education sector. We always try to help the talented & meritorious students across the society, specially the poor section of the society, who do not have the financial support. We strongly believe that with a little help of ours, these brilliant students from the cross section of the society will develop their qualities further, bring the full potentials of theirs to light and play a vital role for the country in future. From January 2022 to December 2023, an amount of Tk.31.51 million was donated for ‘Education’ under our CSR initiatives.

 

Bank Asia Higher Studies Scholarship

One of the major CSR initiatives of Bank Asia Ltd. is its Higher Studies Scholarship program for poor & meritorious rural students studying in public studies. The Bank initiated the program in 2005 to help achieve the dreams of the poor students who have merit & potential but do not have the financial support to pursue higher studies. The scholarship is provided through our rural branches and Bank Asia Foundation. An amount of Tk.4.93 million was donated as higher studies scholarship to 126 students from January 2022 to December 2023.

 

PROYASH, a school for children with special needs

PROYASH is a national award winning institute of Special Education patronized by Bangladesh Army and has been providing health care services, special education, vocational training and multidimensional activities for the children with special needs from age 2 to 22 years. It was established on the 18th of July, 2006 with the objective to explore and develop full potential of each individual with special needs with a view to integrating them into the mainstream of the society and enjoy all the rights as a valued citizen. The facilities of PROYASH are always open for all Bangladeshi nationals. Since inception, the institute has expanded its facilities for the desired development of special children through the support and assistance from different personalities and organizations. An amount of Tk.2.00 million was paid to PROYASH for this noble cause.
